Cat Prejudice is Real Today!
Posted on 2012-05-10 17:00:13
Cat prejudice??? Is there really prejudice against kinds of animals?
According to the American Veterinary Veterinary Medical Association, pet guardians are willing to spend less than half (40%) for their cat's vet care than for dog cat care!!
This means that when it's time for a guardian to authorize a needed medical procedure or medication, people are letting their cats go without necessary care...but they would not do that with dogs.
One definition of prejudice is: ""any unreasonable attitude that is unusually resistant to rational influence."
Why are we behaving this way towards our little lions, our feline friends???
Time to stop this trend now! Do your part to educate your friends and family today, and treat cats with the same loving kindness that dogs receive. Allow them to get their veterinary care!

What Does Rock Music and South Shore Vet's Itchy Scratchy Campaign Have in Common?
(Look at these two photos for a hint!)

They are both FLEAS! The photo on top is a rendered electron microscope photo of a flea, and the one on the bottom is "Flea" from the band The Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Fleas not only transmit tapeworms to both pets and human children, they can also create staph infections in the skin and blood infections. They are more than pests here in Hawaii, and Kihei dogs and cats are no exception. Call us for help and take advantage of our Itchy Scratchy Spring Campaign!
